There are several American Electric Power (AEP) West Virginia Bill Pay options available such as auto monthly withdrawals, immediate one-time payments, and mail or phone payments.

Payment options

Pay online: To use the online payment option and access information about other payment options; visit the AEP website www.aep.com and click on the ‘bills & payments’ option on the left side of the page. Enter your West Virginia zip code. This will direct you to the AEP Appalachian Power website. Log in to your online AEP Appalachian account to view your bill, sign up for paperless billing and make your payment using a credit/debit card or from your bank account. Signing up for paperless billing also allows you to pay your bill online for free.

Immediate one-time payment: You can quickly pay your bill online using this method which is made available by BillMatrix at a $2.95 fee.

  • Select the mode of payment you will use, whether bank account or credit/debit card
  • Enter your payment information and submit your payment.
  • You will receive a confirmation code which serves as proof of payment.

Automatic monthly withdrawals: Have you’re the amount you owe deducted directly and automatically from your checking bank account every month by signing up for this American Electric Power (AEP) West Virginia Bill Pay service. The deduction will start after 4-6 weeks after you’ve submitted your application. Sign up for this convenient service by opting in for paperless billing or clicking on ‘enroll for auto withdrawal’ in the bill payment page.

Pay in person: Visit an authorized payment station near you to pay your bill. You can visit their offices to make the payment.
